A rate or a rule looks out of date
Tell us the page and the figure and, if you have it, the link to the GOV.UK or HMRC page that says otherwise. Rates change each April and after each Budget; we read the source again, correct the parameter file and date the change.
What we cannot do
We are not HMRC, an accountant or a tax refund company. We cannot see your tax record, change your code, claim a refund or contact HMRC for you. Please do not send your National Insurance number, payslips, P60s, HMRC letters or any personal details. To check or correct your code, use HMRC's online service or the HMRC app.
Using a checker on your own site
Employers, unions, advice services and local news sites can show the tax code checker in an iframe at no cost: see the embed page.
